For my family, this is the last year of high school for our son, Grayson, and I'm feeling excited, scared, and sad all at the same time. I remember my senior year like it was (almost) yesterday and it's been nearly 28 years. EKKK!!! (33 for Bob... I should add that.) Senior Year is a very special time and I'm mostly excited for Grayson and so very very proud of him.
For the store, back to school is a time where many young girls come in for their "every day" shoes, their sport shoes, and that cute purse or two to get them through till Christmas. We love the fever that comes with school shopping. The conversations mothers and daughers have over which shoes will go best with the most outfits, etc. ...

09 August 07 - 11:18Kindness
Every now and again I have experiences at the store that just knock me out. People are so amazing. I am so incredibly blessed to be put in this place. Monday, a woman came in and she asked, "Do you remember me?" That question is one that scares me everytime I hear it. I want to remember everyone, but I meet so many people that it's not always possible. I knew her face. She continued, "You told me about the love story of the Marilyn Monroe painting in the store." Since I share that story with everyone that admires the painting, it still took me a minute to remember our encounter. Then, she gave me a gift. A Marilyn Monroe purse she had saved for me. It was something that reminded her of me, the store, and my husband's gift during ...
